Meg Flynn, MA, LMFT

Meg is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with special training in child development, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, and a B.A. in Psychology and Theology from the College of St. Benedict in Minnesota. Meg focuses her practice on building and strengthening family relationships. She works with individuals, couples and whole family groups.  Meg works with adolescents in individual and family settings, to guide them in developing a healthy self identity and to use family relationships to support them during their transition into adulthood. Meg uses an experiential approach with clients in the transformation of emotional blocks to wholeness and happiness that affect the quality of their lives and relationships.Meg provides holistic counseling for individuals, couples and families, as well as groups and workshops through New Directions Counseling and Training, Ltd. 

Tracy Flynn Bowe, JD, MA

Tracy provides personal and professional life coaching and counseling through a spiritual-psychological approach. She works with clients using a strength-based, holistic model to bring awareness to the physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual aspects of change and growth processes. Tracy particularly enjoys working with clients facing significant life transitions, losses, or change points to assist them in raising their capacity for self-awareness, balance and happiness. With over 30 years of experience as a lawyer, mediator, executive, counselor, and coach, she uses her broad base of knowledge and experience to help clients identify the issues and obstacles that are creating discomfort or distress, to release emotional and mental patterns that no longer serve them, and to develop action plans to move forward with clarity, compassion, consciousness and empowerment.

Tracy is a Yellow Personality with a Law Degree from the University of Minnesota, an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, and a B.A. in Psychology and Theology from the College of St. Benedict in Minnesota.  

In addition to her work at New Directions, Tracy is the author of The Land Beyond Forever, Create the Life You Imagine: What Are You Waiting For? and From Oz to Om, the Spiritual Journey Home. Tracy authors a spiritual-psychological e-letter encouraging readers to Create the Life You ImagineTracy is a frequent keynote speaker on color personality, self development, and spirituality. Stefanie Okeson, MA, LPN

Stefanie completed her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Adler Graduate School in Richfield, Minnesota. She began her professional work as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the St. Cloud School District. She holds a Bachelors degree in Community Psychology from St. Cloud State University.

Stefanie is compassionate, creative and holistic, and is available to work with clients of all ages, from children to adults, as well as with couples and families. Stefanie has a particular passion for working with children and teenagers, and believes in the importance of valuing each child as an individual with unique strengths, needs, interests and skills. She works with clients on issues of: anxiety, depression, body image, bullying, self-esteem, school or college transitions, relationships and parenting.

Stefanie served as the office manager at New Directions for over seven years while completing her undergraduate and graduate studies, and has been interning under the supervision of Meg Flynn, LMFT, and Geno Beniek, LMFT, while completing her Marriage and Family Therapy training. Stefanie has been an important member of our client care team for many years and we are thrilled that she will be continuing to provide exceptional care for clients at New Directions as a member of our professional counseling staff.

Geno Beniek, MA, LICSW, LMFT
Geno has been with New Directions Counseling & Training since 1999.  He has over 40 years of clinical experience as a marriage and family therapist, working with both individuals and couples, within a systemic/narrative framework.  He is an Approved Clincal Supervisor of the MN Board of Marriage & Family Therapy and the MN Board of Health and Therapy. He has been an adjunct faculty at St Cloud State University since 1978. His wife of 37+ years died in 2009.  He has three adult daughters  and six grandchildren.

Brittany Reinke, MS, LMFT

Brittany is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She holds a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Cloud State University.

Brittany works with clients on a wide variety of problems including: anxiety, depression, trauma, marital issues, individual problems, and family change. She is available to work with clients of all ages, from children to adults, as well as with couples and families. She has a strong interest in working with couples to help them strengthen their bond and improve their overall relationship.

Brittany uses a systemic, nonjudgmental and compassionate approach to help clients understand and identify their current issues and any obstacles that may prevent them from having a happy, healthy and balanced lifestyle. Brittany considers herself a LGBTQA+ ally. Brittany is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).

Emma Schott, Energy Therapist & Registered Yoga Teacher

Emma holds a bachelors in Psychology from St. Cloud State University; she is a certified Reiki practitioner, Integrative Energy Therapist, and a Registered Yoga teacher.

Emma is highly sensitive and compassionate and has the ability to make people feel safe and comfortable in her presence, not only when teaching but when discussing or working with the body. Based on the specific needs of her clients, Emma uses a combination of these modalities along with aromatherapy, meditation, spiritual counseling, and relaxation techniques to help clients balance their mind, body, and spirit as a whole.

Emma works with clients with a wide variety of goals. It is a joy, passion, and life purpose to assist her clients to remove barriers to help them live well, cope with life changes; recover from illness and pain, and to live a more peaceful and joyful life. Emma's Energy Therapy practice is located in the New Directions Studio; she is available to see clients by appointment.
